The Ministry of Health and other institutions use OMSB's occupational classification examinations for licensing; specialty examinations are published per specialty (anaesthesia, dermatology, radiology, emergency medicine, ENT, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, psychiatry) alongside the general practitioner examination, at the OMSB test centre and Pearson VUE centres worldwide.

Where do I sit the OEGP?

At OMSB for candidates in Oman and at Pearson VUE centres worldwide for those outside; results emailed within 24 hours.

How many times can I sit the viva?

Two further attempts after a failure; after three failures the applicant may re-apply after one year.

In what order do the steps come?

Application through the MOH portal by the establishment; a letter to Immigration for a visit visa; an interview (viva) date set by the head of department; on passing, a letter to the Ministry of Manpower; labour card and licence form; payment; licence issued.
