What do pharmacists need for a QCHP license in Qatar?
Qatar's Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP, formerly QCHP) licenses a Pharmacist with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, two years of post-graduate experience and a pass in its Prometric exam, which costs US$244, unless a master's in a pharmacy-related field exempts you; your employer in Qatar submits the application, so a job offer comes first.

What DHP asks of a Pharmacist
| Qualification, experience and exam | A bachelor's degree in pharmacy, two years of post-graduate experience, the Prometric qualifying examination, and a registration licence from the country of experience |
|---|---|
| Exempt from the exam | A bachelor's with a master's in a pharmacy-related field is exempt from Prometric |
| Job offer | The employer's representative submits the evaluation, so a job offer comes first; primary source verification must be complete and the report attached |
| Licence at home | A valid licence or registration from the country of training or last practice, verified in the PSV package |
| Good standing certificate | Sent directly by the home regulator to DHP at the licensing stage |
| English test | None named |

Good to know
- How many times can I sit the exam?
- Applicants can sit the qualifying exam up to 5 consecutive times whatever the gap between attempts.

- How long does DataFlow take?
- DataFlow says 15 to 25 working days from payment with a complete file.
- What does DataFlow charge beyond the package?
- QAR 400 for an additional qualification, and QAR 300 each for a good standing certificate, an additional licence or an employer beyond the third.
