What it means for you

Nurses can now check the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The UK pack no longer asks for a year of experience, and every requirement now shows when it was checked and where.

United Kingdom (NMC)

English is now checked band by band (IELTS 7 in listening, reading and speaking, 6.5 in writing; OET B with C+ in writing), and two sittings within twelve months count. The fees reflect the 1 October 2026 rise: evaluation GBP 167 and registration GBP 182. The OSCE step carries its twelve-week deadline from the start of sponsorship, and the plan says who usually pays each fee.

Ireland (NMBI)

Recognition first, then registration outright, a short adaptation placement, or the RCSI aptitude test. English in one sitting only. The reported twelve-months-in-five rule is shown as "reported by recruiters, not yet confirmed".

Australia (NMBA)

The three streams of the assessment in one pathway, with Ahpra's English standard for tests from 23 April 2026.

New Zealand (Nursing Council)

Application, TruMerit verification, theory exam, and the Christchurch OSCE if directed. English scores are marked as still to be confirmed.

UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain

Read from the regulators' own documents: the UAE's Unified PQR (Registered Nurse needs a bachelor's and no experience; a GNM diploma is licensed as Assistant Nurse), Qatar's Guidelines for Nurses (two years' experience, Prometric or a verified NCLEX-RN, employer first), SCFHS's classification (Specialist for a bachelor's, Technician for a diploma, one year's experience), and NHRA's standards (one year's experience; five years exempts the exam). DataFlow verification is one shared step with its sub-states, per-regulator fee and "who pays" on every Gulf pathway, and Indian nurses see the emigration-clearance rule.

Every requirement now cites the claims behind it, so "checked on" dates are real and confidence is shown in words where the evidence is secondary.
