What it means for you
New Zealand's English scores, the UAE's registration fee, Qatar's exam fee and format and DataFlow's Qatar prices now come from the regulators' own documents. Kuwait and Oman have nurse pathways. Ireland's reported practice rule is still not in any NMBI document.
Qatar (DHP)
The Prometric exam costs USD 244 from 1 January 2026 (DHP circular 10/2024); the Registered General Nurse exam is 150 questions in three hours with a 50% cut score and five attempts. DataFlow's Qatar price list confirms the QAR 990 nurse package and QAR 300 for a good standing certificate.
New Zealand (Nursing Council)
The English requirement now follows the Council's policy guidance: IELTS 7 in listening, reading and speaking with 6.5 in writing, or OET 350 in those three with 300 in writing. Scores may be combined across sittings of the same test within twelve months of the first sitting, and all sittings must fall within three years of the application. Fully online tests are not accepted. The Council publishes nothing on the IELTS One Skill Retake. Nurses first educated in English in Canada, Ireland, Singapore, the UK or the US are exempt.
Ireland (NMBI)
We read NMBI's Applicant User Guide and its FAQ for non-EU applicants in full. Neither contains the twelve-months-in-five practice rule that recruiter guides report, so it stays marked as reported, not confirmed.
United Arab Emirates (DHA)
DHA's own Get Registered page prices credentialing at AED 200, with five working days' processing and a registration valid one year; it is now a step on the plan. DataFlow's own guide prices the nurse verification package at AED 935 and the doctor package at AED 1,235; DHA still publishes no price list.
Kuwait (Ministry of Health)
A new pathway from the ministry's own criteria: a BSN with three years' experience or a diploma with four, a valid home licence, BLS, the Prometric Registered Nurse exam and the ministry's interview; the employer submits the licence request. The ministry's pages could only be read through archived copies, so every rule is shown as official but indirect.
Oman (Ministry of Health)
A new pathway from the ministry's November 2025 procedure, which replaces the 2021 version: a diploma with four years' experience or a bachelor's with three, a DataFlow report, the OMSB nursing exam at a Pearson VUE centre (USD 200) and the ministry's viva with three attempts in all. Council registration is listed as optional and no English test is asked for.
