What it means for you
DHA's exam guideline lists no paramedic exam, so the UAE paramedic plan no longer calls the exam computer-based or asks for DHA's Prometric exam. The NCLEX-RN steps for the US and Canada now say which figure is the registration fee and which the total, before and after 1 February 2027.
United States and Canada (NCLEX-RN)
The steps now say which figure is which. For a US licence, registering costs USD 200 and a test centre outside the US adds USD 150, USD 350 in all; for registrations from 1 February 2027 the registration fee is USD 350, so USD 500 in all. For Canadian registration, registering costs CAD 360 and a centre outside Canada and the mainland US adds CAD 150, CAD 510 in all; from 1 February 2027 registration is CAD 570, so CAD 720 in all. A centre in the mainland US counts as domestic for Canadian registration, so the CAD 150 is not charged there. The date you register decides the fee, not the date you sit.
United Arab Emirates (paramedics)
DHA's computer-based test guideline (September 2026) lists no exam for paramedics, so the plan no longer calls the paramedic licensing exam computer-based or offers DHA's Prometric exam as the way to clear it. The UAE's unified rules still require the licensing authority's exam, in English, with three attempts across all the UAE's authorities. A current licence with good standing from one of 20 listed countries exempts you if your qualification is under three years old or you have no gap in practice: among them the UK (HCPC), Ireland (PHECC), Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa (HPCSA) and the United States. The plan does not read that exemption yet, so tell the authority when you apply.
