Saudi Arabia: India's DM and MCh placed where SCFHS's manual places them
SCFHS's 2009 classification manual puts an MCh on its own at Registrar level and counts a DM towards Senior Registrar only with an MD, so the plan no longer reads Senior Registrar from "DM or MCh (India)". That choice now opens the Registrar route, and a doctor with India's MD and DM confirms SCFHS's equivalence on the plan. India's MS stays at Registrar level, by the manual's rule for a master's.

What it means for you
Saudi Arabia (doctors)
We re-read SCFHS's 2009 classification manual at source on 2 November 2026, table by table. Its examples of Registrar-level certificates name India's MD, DNB and MCh, each equivalent to a two-year diploma. Its list of certificates equivalent to the Saudi specialization certificate names India's MD or MS with the DNB, and an MD with a DM, as a fellowship for Senior Registrar; an MD with an MCh is listed only for Bangladesh. The plan used to read Senior Registrar from "DM or MCh (India)" on its own. It now reads that choice as Registrar level, and the Senior Registrar and Consultant routes open from it only once you confirm on the plan that SCFHS accepts your qualification as equivalent to the Saudi board, as a doctor with India's MD and DM can.
India's MS
The manual's table of Registrar-level examples does not name the MS, but the manual makes a holder of a master's in any medical specialty a Resident until the experience for Registrar is complete, and it names the MS beside the MD elsewhere, so the plan keeps India's MD or MS at Registrar level. Since August 2025 SCFHS decides each foreign qualification's level case by case, and its decision is what counts.
